The training center achieves the homologation under the standard of the Global Wind Organization (GWO) in electrical, mechanical and hydraulic modules. Furthermore, the training centers located in Tafalla (Navarre) and in Arteixo (A Coruña) obtain its recertification.
Thus, EROM continues highlighting its commitment with the technical training that began in August 2017 when it became the first company of the Iberian Peninsula and one of the world’s first ten to have a training center authorized to provide the Basic Maintenance Training (BMT).
GWO is a non-profit organization formed by wind turbine owners and wind turbine manufacturers, being Acciona one of its members. It is a worldwide reference with the aim of striving for an injury free work environment in the wind turbine industry. That is the reason why the first standards defined by the GWO were a Basic Safety Training and a Basic Safety Training Refresher (BST and BSTR). EROM is a training provider of these courses since 2015 and it offers them currently in two formative own centers in Spain, in Arteixo (A Coruña) and in Tafalla (Navarre). Nowadays 100 % of EROM´s field personnel is trained under this standard.
Since August 2017 the training center located in Tafalla is homologated to provide basic technical training in electrical, mechanical and hydraulic modules.
Bureau Veritas was commissioned to audit EROM's formative centers and they have passed it with zero non-conformities.
EROM´s Direction expects a positive impact in the quality of the performed services and in the safety of EROM's personnel, since the modules enhance in the more dangerous works within the maintenance activity.
